Tara Riley After 19 years of dancing lessons growing up, and years of competitive dance, Tara knew she had found her calling when she discovered Pilates and yoga. Joan Poteat. After losing the love of my life, a childhood friend introduced me to yoga. The more I practiced the more I began to find myself again. This brought out a strong desire to share this awesome discovery by teaching yoga.
My practice began with Pranakriya/Kripalu, followed by Ashtanga for my 200hr teacher certification. I strive to teach a fun class blending these traditions together. Giggles are always welcome!
SJ Jones. I live a very fast paced life! The Gemini in me usually leads to my having my hands in more fires than one at a time! I am the Business Manager and heavily involved in Event Planning for a very intense lifestyle company known as Heights Entertainment. Yoga is where I find Peace and Solice at the end of the day! Or as I like to say, Yoga is the Yin to my Yang. After a 10 year love affair with Yoga, I decided that I wanted to share my love for this art form with those around me. This led to my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification and becoming a Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor.
Growing up in a family where sports played a large role in my day to day life, and now having a brother who plays Professional Basketball overseas, I decided that Athletes would be my primary, not only focus. Not only is Yoga a total body workout it also helps prevent injury while increasing recovery time, concentration, discipline, focus, calmness and clarity. These are all things that are extremely important when participating in a professional sport as well as a fast paced life. It is my goal to assist you in taking your game on the court as well as in life to the next level through the practice that is known as Yoga.

Mandi Murrow. Making people feel beautiful has been my goal for over 20 years. Teaching my clients and other stylists how to use products to better care for their hair and use products that heal hair rather than destroy has been part of my career in the beauty industry. I have always thought I lived a healthy and active life, until I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during my pregnancy. From that point it became my mission to educate myself on how to eat to heal yourself. Dealing with injuries, body image issues and being a busy mom made me realize even more how important it is to treat yourself with more kindness and that it was time to help others feel better on the inside as well.
Studying the healing arts has been my main goal thru this process. After many cleanses I realized it was my turn to be the coach. I enrolled into the Institute of Integrative Nutrition to become a health coach, which inspired me to also begin my journey into becoming a Yoga teacher. On my path I have also acquired my Reiki practitioner certification and delved into the study of essential oils and herbal medicine. My goal is that through my combined practices that I may help guide others along the path of better health, to create a link to inner work so that, through education and learning an inner strength those I teach may be able to have a better understanding of their own ability to be in control of diet, life choices and be a better version of themselves!
I come from a place from love and compassion in hopes that I can guide you all through health goals, in areas such as achieving optimal weight, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep, and maximizing energy. As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance, health and inner harmony.

Cliff Joyner. I was first exposed to Yoga while in undergraduate at UNCC. I loved the relaxation and the stretching from practicing Hatha yoga at the student center. I returned to yoga several years later to maintain flexibility while pursing mountain biking and weight lifting. After an injury while mountain biking I returned to a weekly practice of yoga to help heal injured muscles and tendons. My first true “yoga love” is Ashtanga and I have continued to practice Ashtanga based vinyasa flows. After several years of an almost daily practice, I attended teacher training at the Yoga One Institute in Charlotte and obtained my 200 hour teacher certificate. Currently I work as a counselor in residential setting, offering counseling, meditation classes and yoga classes to my clients.
I continue to enjoy an almost daily practice of yoga, practicing vinyasa and power yoga and having the honor of teaching beginner classes. I strive to keep my classes fun but also focused on the basic skills of a yoga flow.
