Mindfulness Meditaiton is not about getting you to be different from how you already are but instead will help you become aware moment by moment what is already true. It helps you to be in the present with whatever is happening no matter what it is. Simply put it is a type of meditation that involves focusing your mind on the present, not the past or the future. Being mindful means to be aware of your actions and thoughts now and not judge yourself. According to research that has been done mindfulness meditation can help to decrease stress, boost your immune system, and improve your mood.
No experience required. The routine may be done seated, standing, or lying. Please wear comfortable clothing (business attire is acceptable) and please bring a journal to class.
Learn to achieve physical, mental, and spiritual balance through qigong meditation. (This class is especially good for those who have an active mind and find it hard to meditate.) But be ready…this is not your typical meditation of emptying the mind to get to Zen. Rather, Qigong is about USING the mind, breath, and body to work with your qi to manifest a calm, relaxed state and optimal physical health.
No experience required. The routine may be done seated, standing, or lying. Please wear comfortable clothing (business attire is acceptable) and bring a journal to class.
Correct posture…Focused intention…Proper breathing
Want more energy? This spiritual qigong routine uses slow, meditative movement (like standing yoga) to work with qi (your personal life energy). All movement involves only the upper body and is very gentle and relaxed. Benefits students experience include reduced stress, restored inner balance, a more focused mind, the need for less sleep, and deeper relaxation.
No experience required. Showers are not typically needed after class. Please wear loose clothing and comfortable shoes (business attire is acceptable but no skirts please). The routine may be practiced standing (most common), seated, or lying.
